Passport Portfolio In my response essay this semester I focused more on the manipulation and control of minorities in our society. Being that am from Nigeria I find it surprising and distastefully about the government and some citizens of American, racist behaviors towards immigrants. Looking at how the current president of America Donald J Trump was calling immigrant all sorts of name during his presidential campaign for instance, he referred to all Mexican immigrant as drug dealers. This gave me the interest to write about manipulation and control in the American society throughout this course. My favorite reading this semester was: “Nineteen Eighty-Four” and “An Outpost of Progress” this is because they both focus on manipulation
