Maniac Heart

Decent Essays
The reason behind why I picked a heart is because I think it matches Maniac’s personality. In the text it said that Maniac was helpful and kind he was helping with Hester and Lester. Maniac also helped other little kid with there shoes and when Maniac met Amanda he was very kind and they started talking. The other reason I used a heart is because he had nowhere to go and no place to call home so Amanda’s family let Maniac stay at there house. The way that part connects to Maniac being kind is that he felt loved by Amanda’s family and plus Maniac is an orphan. Before Amanda’s family took Maniac in he slept at the zoo but when Maniac lived at the zoo in a shed he was still kind and gave an animal a scarf.

While reading Ender’s Game, I was responsible for tracking Valentine’s character development throughout the course of the novel. By doing this, I learned about what kind of character Valentine is and I learned about her personality. For my body biography of Valentine, my first symbol is a heart to symbolize how she is a loving and caring person, especially when something involves her brother Ender. Valentine’s love for Ender plays a major role in the novel. I placed the heart symbol on her chest where an actual heart would be located because it truly represents how Valentine is such a loving character.…

When Maniac and Amanda were talking, Maniac asked for a book, and at first, she said no, but then because of all Maniac’s knowledge of books and of how nice he was she finally said yes.…

Throughout the story, the narrator exhibits many strange behaviors that suggest that he is quite abnormal. For example, the narrator describes his extreme vendetta against, not the old man, but his “evil eye,” (Edgar Allan Poe). By the end of the story, the narrator has a friendly conversation with the police about the old man until he begins hearing a ringing sound that he says progressively grew in volume. The increasing volume of the sound led him to ultimately lash out in confession to the murder of the old man.…
