Since the early 2000s, it has been common that vaccines are mandatory for schooling and jobs, but a closer look brings them into question. “There is a wide spectrum of vaccine complications, which have been identified and acknowledged in the medical literature and by the Institute of Medicine,” (nvic.org). Very much like prescription drugs, vaccination includes the risk that it may cause harm or may not work at all. Vaccines should not be mandatory for any reason, and it should be the parents’ choice to vaccinate their child or not. Every vaccine has the potential to cause a fatal allergic reaction to one or more of the many chemical components that are included in the formula. The constantly growing numbers of vaccine administrations are …show more content…
Exposure to formaldehyde can cause many adverse health effects (epa.gov), including burning in facial areas, nausea, etc. (cancer.gov). Whereas many studies have discovered the short-term effects of formaldehyde, little is known about the long-term effects .While unrelated to formaldehyde exposure, SIDS, or sudden infant death syndrome, has been linked to the DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus) vaccine on multiple occasions. SIDS primarily occurs within the first year of life, a period in which infants receive three DPT vaccines (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov). As SIDS continues to be one of the main causes of infant deaths in the US, there are no modifications being made to vaccines in an attempt to reduce the …show more content…
The most commonly administered vaccine is for influenza, a contagious illness of the respiratory system (cdc.gov). Influenza is a short-term illness that is typically resolved within days, with the most extreme cases lasting only weeks. When an illness is encountered, antibodies are developed that are unique and defend the body against one specific type of antigen (medlineplus.gov). Antibodies serve two purposes: neutralize the threat and eliminate the threat (missinglink.ucsf.edu). Antibodies are the body’s natural way of fighting infection and are safer and more reliable than artificial immunization via

Mandatory Vaccinations Childhood immunizations are supposed to protect children from life threatening illness, but in light of the fairly recent findings regarding vaccine additives and the side effects they cause, parents should have a choice on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Recent FDA documents admit that vaccines are linked to autism. An insert sheet for the Tripedia (Dtap) vaccine, openly admits to this vaccine being linked to autism along with a plethora of other horrible side effects, including SIDS (Tripedia Vaccine, 2012). In June of 2000, members from the CDC, FDA, and pharmaceutical companies had a secret meeting to discuss the relationship between thimerosal and autism. The transcripts of this meeting were obtained…

If it were possible, we would protect our loved ones from even the smallest of illnesses. Fortunately, we can protect them from some diseases that have ended the lives of children and adults for hundreds of years by choosing to vaccinate. The federal government needs to enact a policy that requires all who reside or enter the United States to receive all recommended vaccinations in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and viruses because vaccines save lives, they save parents and families time and money. In addition, vaccines can protect future generations.…

Contamination by germs in a vaccine could cause severe local reactions, serious illness or death. In some vaccines, preservatives, including thimerosal, are added during the manufacturing process to prevent germ growth (“Thimerosal”, 2015). Between 1999 and 2001, thimerosal was removed or reduced to trace amounts in all childhood vaccines except for some flu vaccines. This was done as part of a broader national effort to reduce all types of mercury exposure in children before studies were conducted that determined that thimerosal was not harmful (“Vaccines do not cause autism”, 2015). Research does not show any link between thimerosal in vaccines and autism, a neurodevelopmental disorder.…

This led to 3 epidemics, and at least 100 children dead after catching the disease.” ( Choices, 2015). You should still have your kids vaccinated because, we are riding the world of these diseases that are killing…
