Currently in Canada, we have a mixed economy, however, is this the best type of economy for Canadians? To improve the lives of Canadians, we need to switch to a market economy now before we cause further destruction to our country. There are serious problems in a planned economy as there is no individual rights and freedom, equality is being unclear, and there is a lack of motivation, and keeping our mixed economy wouldn’t be beneficial as we always rely on the government, the government only needing our tax money and spending it wrong, and in addition, I’ll be explaining about how there are beneficial properties of a market economy such as gaining money, freedom, and incentive. Imagine a government controlling your life, deciding everything for you, it may sound agreeable to some, however, it limits individual rights and freedom. In a planned economy, emphasis would be on equality, as you and your neighbors will be paid the same, dress similarly, but one of you is working insurmountably harder.…

It involves pumping water, chemicals and usually sand underground at high pressure to fracture shale and release the gas trapped within to be collected back at the surface. The ethicality of fracking comes into question when research has shown high amounts of pollution and environmental destruction around fracking sites that endangers fauna, human health, drinking water and building structures. Independent studies show that since fracking has been introduced,…
