Should Schools Be Required To Wear Uniforms Essay

Public schools in the United States do not generally require uniforms. Traditionally, the use of school uniforms in the United States has been restricted to private schools. I attended a school that required uniform during my junior and senior years, I liked it. I woke up with eager every morning to wear it, I was so used to wearing it I sometimes forgot that I had uniform on, and I forget that it was mandatory. What I experienced from that is that student was always on tasks and everybody were dressed formal and properly. Teachers and the school faculty members were all looking forward into the district making this a new policy while on the other hand the students was against it. In my own personal point of view I think it would be an outstanding idea if all grades schoolers were required to wear uniforms to school. I strongly believe that if the School Board require schools students to wear uniforms, it will encourage school safety and there would be less bullying, it would be more beneficial for the parents and the school’s students will properly dress to school so …show more content…
Philips to Evans, I used to see kids getting dress code on top of dress code, violations for not dressing properly to school. Now that Evans has a uniform code the amount of kids that used to get disciplined it’s not the same since after the new policy. I myself have witnessed a couple of kids that had been send out of class, been to in school suspension (ISS) because of what they had on. Maynard Evans high is one of the high school in Orlando, Florida that didn’t require uniforms until 2012, when I moved there. Kids used to come to school however they please, just because they school doesn’t required uniforms, they think it’s okay to dress as if they were going to the club. If school had uniforms the dress codes rates would drop drastically because everyone would dress properly and they would for a fact because no one try to spend a day in ISS doing nothing and missed
