This summer, I went to Mandalay Bay and slept there for two days. On the second day that I got there, I rode the waves and went on the lazy river. I also went camping for one week with about 20-30 people in my scout troop. My scout troop is troop 980. I got to play water polo, go rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, and archery. My favorite thing I did this summer was going To Mandalay bay. The biggest achievement there, is when I went to shoot the shotgun at 24 clay pidgeon.

On December 16, 1896, Griffith donated 3,015 acres of Rancho Los Feliz to Los Angeles and Griffith Park was born. Griffith insisted that this park would be a place of recreation and rest for the masses. When Griffith donated the land he specifically told the council, the park needs to be “a resort for the rank and file, for the plain people.” This donation was compared to a Christmas gift when Harris Newmark wrote that Griffith "so generously filled the stocking of Los Angeles with his immensely important gift of Griffith Park, with its three thousand and more diversified acres, magnificent heights, and picturesque roadways... the second largest pleasure ground in the world.…

Jersey Shore was a popular TV show on MTV between 2009 and 2012 about “Guidos”, or Americans of Italian descent in their twenties who rented a house together on the Jersey Shore, which was aimed at teenagers and people under thirty. Jersey Shore is affecting our culture in a negative way because the majority of people that watched it might have thought differently about Italians and think that’s all that they do. At one point, Jersey Shore became one of the most watched TV shows and I think it influenced some slang we use today. MTV is famous for making popular TV shows and sucking people in to watching them. They are really good at making reality shows.…
