The Toy Manchester Terrier was bred by reducing the Manchester Terrier‘s size down a bit. In the 1920s the Terrier came to America and was called the Toy Black and Tan Terrier, but the dog soon got its name ‘Toy Manchester Terrier’ in 1930 by the American Toy Manchester Terrier club. In 1938 The American Kennel club recognized the Terrier as a breed.

-Health
Some from the line of Terriers are liable to attain health issues called glaucoma (a blood disorder) and some are viable to bleeding disorder known as Von Willebrand’s disease, but this is rare and heals quickly as well. Yes, do not leave them out in the sun for long or else they will get heat bumps on their back. Rest if any issue continues you should take your pet to the vet.

They adorn a short Black & Tan coat and they have a spot over each eye.
-Grooming
The good point with their coat is they do not require much grooming, since there coat is short and shiny black and tan it is very easy to take care off. It is one of the most easy-cared for breed. The Manchester Terrier tends to shed a lot, but the Toy Manchester Terrier sheds almost no hair. Just keep their nails trimmed and ears clean of wax.
-Body type
With the Manchester Terrier you can choose from two: The Standard or the toy Terrier. The toy Manchester Terrier is small and weighs between 7 to 12 pounds. They have short legs, but when it comes to hunting they are fast and very accurate in catching rats.
