Manatee Tourism: Do’s and Don’ts. This purpose of this presentation is to inform the public about proper guidelines when participating in tourism activities such as boating, snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming where manatees can be found. By viewing this presentation you will learn the state and federal laws put in place to protect manatees, define harassment and recognize behaviors that are considered harassment, and learn how you can safely view manatees in the wild. Save the Manatee Club is not opposed to participating in any of these tourism activities, but we do encourage and support responsible and passive observation of manatees in the wild.
