Time Management
Time-managing skills for a student are essential tools to utilize in their daily lifestyle. If the student is not able to manage time effectively, then they are likely to fail or give up on their goals. Signs that indicate a student needs to improve their time management skills are not meeting deadlines, leaving everything for last minute, being always late, or not being properly prepared. This will then lead the student not to be able to concentrate because they will be thinking about all the different things that need to be done instead of focusing on the project at hand. A student can improve time management by exercising self-discipline, improving organization, and learning to put their own academics first.

A person is asked at least once a day, sometimes more, for help or they are asked to socialize; for most of them, it is hard to say no. This will then lead to procrastination because they will just help first, and when it is time for them to go back to their task, it becomes hard to refocus if they are not well-disciplined. Karen Burns, an author, advises her readers in this list of time management advice to be “ruthless about what you take or plan to do, and then prioritizing from there.” By finishing the most important tasks first, a person will find themselves feeling less stressed and able to focus on other matters on their list better. It is not only prioritizing but also knowing how much time is needed to schedule for certain tasks like writing an essay may take more time than studying for a test. If a student is able to prioritize their task the right way, then it will definite help to contain overhead in their life. If the student keeps doing this, it will be easier to improve their prioritizing skill which will help obtain effective time
