I chose to find roles in Business Analysis so that it would set the base for Project Management. As a Business Analyst, I have had the opportunities to write requirements and propose designs for a new process or system, and I find that taking part in the creation and analysis of requirements would give me a strong understanding of managing IT projects. Gaining professional knowledge of Managing Information Technology will be the missing big piece to my puzzle in solving and also managing business processes. A Masters in Managing Information Technology will help me to develop the necessary skills required when dealing with an IT project, open my mind up to new ways of thinking, strategizing, and help me to understand how systems speak to each other which would there by help me improve my approach in tackling projects. All of these factors worked together to initiate me into pursuing a higher education.
Having been fortunate enough to gain an undergraduate degree in the USA, I now feel that the exposure to varied companies, domains, and subsequently, perspectives has paved the path for me to study Management in Information Technology in a global setting where I will be with like-minded people from different walks of life and different parts of the world. The combination of these experiences would allow me to get closer to my goal.
