This is where organisational structure comes in. The uses of Collin Carnall’s and Charles Handy’s Structure Models will help highlight the company’s structure; pointing out the pros and cons, in order to suggest a more suitable structure that could reorganise the business.

‘Organisational structures can be an influential element in whether or not an organisation can be effective’ (Carnall, 2003: 52)
Organisational structure is a framework companies use to govern their business operations. (Vitez, 2013) There are different types of organisational structure businesses follow in order to organise and deploy resources. (Carnall, 2003:51) According to Carnall, the Entrepreneurial structure is based around the entrepreneur or the owner of the business. This model applies to Beyond Sports Travel Belief as Ben; the new owner of the business role is to make decisions and undertake much of the work whilst the employees take on carrying out specific tasks.
