Another aspect of the planning process is constructing the work that will be required to complete the project. The creation of the work breakdown structure (WBS) arranges the work packages in a sequential fashion so the project manager can plan the schedule, resources, and responsibilities for overall project. This phase of the planning process also furnishes time estimates in order to ensure that the project will be completed in a timely manner, the initiation of human resources, and creation of a communication plan to ensure that all the stakeholders are well informed about the project. The Gantt chart is utilized by project management professionals to exhibit the activities, duration, schedule dates, and progression of the overall endeavor (Kerzner, 2013). As shown in Appendix B, the project spans from November 2016 until August 2017. While the Gantt chart provides a visual representation of the overall project, the information provided within the chart does not display the relationships between each activity or multiple activities (Kerzner, 2013). The goal of a human resource management plan is to maintain the organization’s talent and provide structure, as well as retaining staff members and meeting regulatory personnel standards (Allen, Alleyne, Farmer, McRae, & Turner, 2014).
