What is Control? Control is a process that executives use in controlling. According to Richard L. Daft (Management, 1997, p. 639), control is an activity done to make sure that the organization' activities achieve the goals. This achievement indicates the progress or gives following information back to the executives as follows: What benefits the organization has obtained?; and What are the things that the organization should improve correctly if the outcomes are not what were planned?.

Each unit including work of short-term and long-term plans consistent or get the practices, policies and regulations of the organization carried out in the same direction. Moreover, it can make the organization achieve the goals completely with efficiency as well as with the lowest costs. The benefits can be divided into 2 categories which are benefits for individuals and the benefits for work as follows: for the former, control acts as a stimulator of work progress or as an instrument to train and create subordinates to be leaders later on or can be used as a guideline to make an evaluation for promotion; for the latter, how much work progress has been made, whether the work has been kept up with the designated standards and if there is anything to be amended or there are any existing obstacles can be known. In addition to this, time, money and labor are saved as well.
Disadvantages of organizations without control systems
• People think that the operation of the organization is correct. There is nothing wrong with it.
• If any mistakes occur, people blame external factors without looking back at themselves.
• No acceptance of realized problems
• Looking only at the previous success
• If the organization is having problems, the idea of "the situation will be better" comes
