Maximilien was born on March 3, 1858 in Paris, France. He was born into a poor family. During his childhood he worked with multiple artisans. Maximilien Luce had a very interesting life, he was always shifting between the different types of art. Maximilien Luce may not have been very famous when he was alive, because of his anarchist beliefs, he became known after his death and his work was also praised by later artists. He had a very unique style of painting, it was inspired by many things, the largest being Seurat. Maximilien Luce lived a long and prosperous life, he expanded on his skills and became a great and well-known artist, especially in Paris. He painted amazing paintings, of which some even had symbolic meanings, which is very clever. He also created political art, that he provided for newspapers. Maximilien Luce was surely one of the best and most influential neo-impressionist of his time. As Georges Seurat once said: “Painting is the art of hollowing a
