From this course, the artist that influenced my music taste the most is Ruth Brown with her song, "Mama He Treats Your Daughter Mean". I really like her performance in the music video for this song because she have such a unique and robust style of singing that just pull you in. She bring pop influence to an R&B song, which completely change the mood of the lyrics. Her robust vocals also introduce a sense of fun and enthusiasm to the song. She makes her songs unique by singing the lyrics at different range of vocal, which also give her songs a sense of individuality that only she can replicate. At the same time it also show that she is very confident in her singing capabilities in order to singed her songs the way that she did. All of this
