The common look for the malurus cyaneus would be a small , fluffy bird. This type of bird has a light blue and black color on its throat and also a little bit above the throat. The belly of the bird has a light grey and brown color on it and the beak is a very dark black. On the other hand the female malurus had a brownish color for it’s soft fur and a orange gaping beak. The shape of the malurus is a oval , round shape. The typical weight for the male is 8 through 13 grams but , the weight of the exact weight of the female is unknown what it is known to be lighter than the male. Habitat
Malurus cyaneus habitats are usually damp areas and wooded areas. The location where they are known to be found is in the south east of South Australia. They commonly sit by parks or even in gardens. Sometimes they are found by ponds or lakes, mostly ponds.This type of bird is a very picky like bird when it comes to finding the perfect stop to stay warm and stay safe.

Malurus’ eat really small quantities when it comes to their diet. Their prey are grasshoppers, shield bugs , flies , and weevils. In order to eat , the malurus has to catch it and to do that they have to jump on it and pick it up with their mouths. The predator that are always after it are wild cats like bobcats.
Reproduction
Finally , the length of the gestation period is 3 months. The mating season is in spring and the birthing season is late summer. For malurus’ the number it was born is unknown for now. The female bird cares for the young and to do that they have to hover over them to keep them safe and warm. When it comes to feeding the young birds , the mother has to go find some ground worms and chew it up and throw it back up into their
