Mali is the biggest country in the northwest part of africa it borders 5 different countries bordering it NIger, Senegal, guinea, côte d'ivoire, burkina faso salt is also big i mali people used to trade a pound of gold for a pound of salt. It also has the largest mud and brick building in the world and it is also a very important building of mali. This country is also the cradle of the empire of ghana one of the first empires of western africa says the website Traveling East. Mali is also home to a few of the biggest gold mines and other minerals in africa and also have a lot of cotton ground to farm. But a big concern in Mali is there farming. They have a lot of farming ground but not enough supplies such as tractors, equipment and sometimes seed. But not everything is super good over there Mali is one of the poorest nations in africa the website Traveling East says that an estimated 70% of people get a dollar or less every day and it is usually really hard work. The people in mali carry out 30 to 50 pounds of gold a day but all of it is shipped out to other countries and mali doesn't get keep any for all there hard work. They also have to worry about getting invaded for what little they do have. they have very hard work for very little pay they also have a lot of farming to but not very good resources or tools for all te farming that goes on there. Also most of their crops are not to successful because of a lack of fertilizer so there is a lot of barren ground without any thing growing. Also a lot of what the farmer grows goes to waste a lot of the time there is bad transportation getting there products to sales and markets and that sort of
