The Pixar film “The Incredibles” describes this perfectly, Mr. Incredible has a few homosocial relationships with “Buddy” and “Frozone”. Frozone being his best friend and buddy being his “wanna be sidekick” (476). Even though its true Mr. Incredible has an intimate relationship with “Elastigirl”, “his masculine identity is shown mainly through his relationship with buddy” (476). During the beginning of the movie buddy looks up to Mr. Incredible as the top super hero and the strongest man in the world, thus showing his masculinity.
