Australia is a wonderful country because of the freedoms extended to its citizens – We allow people to celebrate their cultures, pray to their gods and express their opinions, but gay people can’t unite and prove their love like any other straight couple… I personally find this outrageous, as a country, the whole 23.13 million of us, we have invested our trust in you to create a successful and overall happy environment to live in. But how can you claim you’re doing us justice, when you’re denying approximately 2.31 million Australians the right to marriage.
There are two reasons for someone to be homophobic. Either you’re gay yourself and you’re trying to conceal it, or maintain christian/catholic and/or other religious values. For example, say having blue eyes was a sin. You’re born like that and you can’t help it, you can try and cover it up by always wearing sunglasses, but underneath they will still always be blue. You are constantly being discriminated for something you can’t change - though they were born the same as you, but didn’t get your trait.
