Throughout his life he was looking for a father-figure to make up for his earlier, tragic loss. This is a great argument for this book Malcolm was a strong African American man but I do think he was self consciusly looking for a father figure, someone to look up whether it but Elijah Muhammad or his friend Bimbi from jail.
