Malcolm Scott Carpenter was an Astronaut and Aquanaut. An aquanaut is just like a diver exploring the ocean. I can totally relate to him because I love playing multiple sports. I play baseball, football, and soccer. He challenged himself to do multiple things just like me. He actually was the first person to eat solid food in space. He also was the 2nd American to orbit Earth. I can also relate to this since he liked attempting unfamiliar things because he had an open mind, of being one of the first people to eat food in space, I personally love to try new things especially when it sounds fun. He was so brave to go to space; so many dangers could happen in space. If you actually make it back, you can proudly say you made it into space.
