Malcolm Baldrige Award program was initiated by the US government in the year 1978, for the purpose of creating bench mark in the area of Quality. Thus, it is also known as Malcolm Bridge National Quality Award (MBNQA).This award covers profit and non-profit organizations. There are seven standards created against which a panel of judges, judge each and every US company after very careful visit of the site. The seven outcomes are listed below:
• Leadership and governance
• Product and Process
Customer Focus
• Financial and Market
• Strategic Planning
• Human Resource Focus
• Measurement, analysis and knowledge management
The award is named after the late secretary Malcolm Baldrige the champion of Quality management. (Malcolm Bridge Quality Award (MBNQA), 2016). Malcolm baldrige Award has since been awarded to number of companies compiling with the above standards which has also shown in many studies that it has also improved overall efficiency and results of these organizations. The examiners are independent board of members. This system has enabled a sustainable excellence approach within these organizations. They strive to achieve the award

The persistent deployment of tactics to achieve set goals has brought in positive energy in the communities the organization has been operating from the time of its creation.
