The people of Ghana are suffering and are misusing the medications. Also, the misuse was highest among those who used left-over drugs and those who got their drugs from qualified chemical sellers. The medications from the pharmacies were better than the ones from the chemical sellers and those who treated themselves with left over drugs. Most Ghanaians get malaria treatment at their homes which is not at all effective, especially due to their poor access to health care services, limited public health campaigns on medicines use, or poor regulation of the pharmaceutical distribution system in the country, causing some patients to be treated at home instead of going to a hospital.
