Did you know that 57 million girls are still not in school? Many girls do not go to school because they are not allowed to, or it is against the law. Most girls would love to be in school but, they cannot go because they are not allowed to or they just don’t have the money. This is a story about Malala Yuosafzai. In Malala’s early life her home began to change as the taliban tried to take control. Malala’s father was a founder at her school (kettler, 2016). Malala was born on july 12 1997. Malala’s home began to change as the Taliban tried to take control.

Malala overcame many obsticals. For example one day on the ride home from school on October 9 2012 Malala got shot at blank range in the head by a colt 45 aps 1911. The Taliban destroyed Malala’s home town and school. The Taliban issued a death threat against Malala. The Taliban that shot Malala never got arrested. Malala says that she was scared all of the time.

In 2013 Malala was nominated for a nobel peace prize for being one of the youngest to survive a bullet. Malala wrote a book to moderate people to help with the cause. Malala became an advocate for girls. Malala stood up for girls education all over the world.
