Malala Yousafzai Research Paper

I have chosen Malala Yousafzai to do my autobiography project on for many reasons such as I love what she believes in, her story is inspiring, and how strong of a woman she is. The first reason why I chose to do my project on her is because she believes in girls having a right to an education. That is also very important to me as well, because it isn’t fair that women in her country have to get married off at a young age and stay home and do all the cooking and the cleaning. The next reason why I chose her is because her whole life story is inspiring to people all around the world. It is crazy how she stood up for what she believed in everyday even though she was in great danger. She even got shot in the head over something she believed in, but that didn’t stop her at all. Finally, she is a very strong young woman because nothing could stop her. The Taliban shot her in the head when she was on a bus on her way to school. When she was in the hospital the whole time she wanted to get out of there and go back to school because she was missing so much. Her getting shot in the head didn’t even phase her that much at all. After she was all recovered she started going around and giving speeches about girls education. One of them was at the United Nations. One of the most crazy facts about her is that at only 15 years old she was shot in the head by the Taliban. They took over the bus she was on and found out which girl was her and shot her point blank in the head. Something that is surprising is that when she was younger her dream was to be a doctor, but as she got older that goal changed. Also when she was younger she started speaking out about girls’ education when she was only 11 years old. Finally, when she was only 16 years old she went and gave a speech at the United Nations.
