Malala’s Life
On July 12, 1997, Malala was born. Although a baby girl wouldn’t be celebrated in Pakistan, her father still gave her all of the opportunities that a boy would have. Ziauddin promised her that she would be able to go to school and be treated equally in his home. Malala absolutely loved learning and would make sure women were allowed to go to school. But in January 2007 the Taliban took control over Swat. The Taliban banned music and Television. In December 2008, the Taliban banned girls from going to school. In October 2009, the Yousafzai family moves out and flees to other parts of the county. In November of 2011, Malala still fears the Taliban, but she still speaks out publicly for girls to go to school. …show more content…
They find her aboard her school bus. They seek her out by name, she was shot in the head, neck, and shoulder. Malala had almost died. Her other two friends were injured as well. But no matter what she still believed that women should have equal rights. Finally, in March 2013 Malala comes back to school. In December 2014 Malala wins the Nobel Peace Prize.
