Putting the Rights of Women First
Malala Yousafzai is one of the most influential people in the world. To me and many other people, Malala Yousafzai is very brave because she took a stand against some of the most evil people in the world who believed girls do not have the right to be educated. Born in a place that did not respect women, Malala knew she had to fight for her rights. By using technology, Malala began to secretly speak her mind. Because of Malala’s unique belief and strength people wanted to silence her, but she never failed to show this bravery!

With her father’s encouragement, Malala started blogging about living under the Taliban rules. There were threats to deny her education and to hide who she was she used a fake name: Gul Makai. Although she hid her identity, the Taliban found out who she was in December of that year. Still Malala continued to speak out about her rights publicly. In addition to that, she won a Children's peace prize in 2011. During all of this, Malala was only 14 years old. I think it is important that Malala got the Children's peace prize because she really cares about her education. Also in that year she was awarded with Pakistan’s National Youth Peace Prize. In March, 2013 she was able to attend Edgbaston High School in Birmingham England. She gave a speech on her 16th birthday at the United Nations. Malala also has an autobiography called I am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education. The autobiography was released in October 2013. Malala has won over 10 influential awards in recent years, but winning the Nobel Peace Award in 2014 really lets the world know she is a major force for change. What I learned from this paper is that Malala changed the world. She stood up everyone's right . And made sure she got her education even though she had to secretly do it.
