Women deserve to have equal rights and opportunities to education, and not be limited in their education. Women activists and women’s rights advocates fight for their genders rights, privileges and opportunities to education, they believe in a cause which will help create equality. These individuals are trying to control women and keep them under an iron fist of violence and cruelty. Malala was a victim of such attacks, in her same speech in New York, she says, “on the 9th of October 2012, the Taliban shot me on the left side of my forehead. They shot my friends, too. They thought that the bullets would silence us, but they failed. And out of that silence came thousands of voices.” They tried to stop her by killing her and silencing her voice, but they failed and it only made her cause stronger and give the women more zeal. What they could accomplish for themselves as women would allow them to be free from inequality, injustice and a lack of rights.
