Luckily, society has bred a number of citizens able to rise to the challenge, to meet the monster head on with unexplainable fortitude and defeat the demons haunting those around them. Everyday people use strength quietly, fighting battles not against goblins or ghost but themselves. The undercover heroes of the world live exceedingly mundane lives until suddenly thrust into unimaginable situations; the ones who survive embody the many meanings of strength. A multitude of factors apply when examining the word strength making it diverse and complex. Strength, demonstrated particularly in the adolescent years, morphs from physical ability into the strength of convictions. Malala Yousafzia confronted restrictions of education fighting her own culture for the right to learn. Malala wished to continue attending school, in America the request appears simple, but in Taliban controlled Pakistan the notion of a girl going to school was absurd. Malala stood unshaken in her resolve defying rule even under the threat of death she continued to attend school. On October 9th 2012 Malala was walking home from school and a gunman shot her in the head. Miraculously Malala survived the savage attack returning more determined and stronger than expected. Malala became a respected woman’s activists as well as an advocate for the right to an education. For her ground breaking work Malala won the International Children’s Peace Prize in addition to the Pakistani Children’s National Peace Prize.
