In the article ¨Malala the Powerful¨it is about Malala and how she had many challenges, but would still persevered for what she thought what was right, which was standing up for women and girls rights to go to school to get a education. In the article there was a group called the taliban who made many laws that were not fair for many people, but mostly for girls. In the text it says, “For women and girls, life is particularly brutal: They are not allowed to go to school, have careers, or wear makeup or bright clothing. They are not allowed to go anywhere without a male relative”. (6) This quote shows it is a big challenge because it shows if she gets caught she will have severe punishment. First, she shows courage by being determined to have the education she needs. In the article it says, “...her fierce determination to get the education she needed, no matter what the taliban did or how afraid she was.” This shows courage because it shows how she will fight no matter what happens to her and she will stand up for her education plus other women and girls. Also another way she shows courage is how she has a weapon. The weapon is her voice. She uses it to speak for her education and other girls and womens. “Malala possessed a weapon of her own: her voice. And she would risk everything to use it.” This quote shows how she would risk everything to use it. Lastly, she shows courage by inspiring people to become whatever they want by getting a education. In the text it says, “She envisions a world which all children and especially girls, can get the education they need to become whatever they want.” This shows courage because she shows how she will fight for women and girls to have a edication, no matter what
