Malala was born on July 12th 1997, in Mingora Pakistan. She lived with her parents, two younger brothers, Khushal and Atal and two pet chickens. Malala grew up a normal girl who enjoyed playing, and arguing, with her brothers. She also had a passion for education and a desire to learn everything she could. Malala loved going to school and never thought she would be denied that right, but she couldn't be more wrong.

The doctors prepared her family for the worst but still hoped for a good outcome. Luckily, she was able to make a full recovery and was discharged from the hospital, however she still had to attended therapy and frequent outpatient care.
Now she continues to make speeches and take a stand for women's education rights. She has even wrote an autobiography titled "I am Malala" where she shares her own perspective of her life before, during and after the attack. She has also started "The Malala Fund" which funds a high quality, 12 year education for children. To reward her efforts, Malala received many awards including The Noble Peace Prize. She was awarded this prestigious award on her 16th birthday. She became the youngest person ever to receive this prize. Which in my opinion, was very well deserved.
Malala got her inspiration from her very supportive family. Her father, in particular, always encouraged Malala to always defend her beliefs and do the right thing. Girls all over the world look up to Malala as a remodel, for a very good reason. Her story shows how not letting fear stand in your way is the best way to voice your opinions and values. When her plan didn’t go right, Malala sure went left. That’s why she deserves every award she received and even more. She once said "All I want is education, and I am afraid of no one".
