Class is a socially constructed idea that has ruled over society with force. Not only does class have power over society but within our families as well. Class refers to the grouping of individuals in a stratified hierarchy based on their status. Roy Williams discusses in Making Society how people might be blind to the fact that social class plays a role in society. They believe that whether they are rich or poor it doesn’t matter as long as they are humans then they are equal those are people who have been blinded by reality because at the end of the day everyone cares about ones origin and who they are dealing with.
