Making Moral Choices Analysis

This idea can be quite confusing because it can be interpreted in various ways. When God created mankind, he made us as a reflection as himself. This concept doesn't mean we all God's, but that humanity is a reflection of God. That is important because we are the only creatures made in the likeness of him. This should help shape our moral choices because if we are a reflection of God we should aim to make good choices like God. We need to keep in mind that we share in God's nature. What the church is trying to say is that because we are made in the image and likeness of God, we need to turn away from sinning. The church teaches that we are all born with original sin and it is God that saves us and brings us to his light. This relates to morality because we need to turn away from our old ways of sinning when making moral choices. We should keep in mind that we as humans, share in God's own nature and need to stray away from immoral decisions. Someone in my life whose character I admire so much is my grandma. The thing that I admire is her compassionate spirit and devotion to her faith. Everyday my grandma wake us before the sun rises to read the Bible and do her morning prayers. She goes to church 3 times a week and abstains herself of meat every Friday. My grandma prayers at least 5 times throughout the day and always thanks God for all she has. Anyone who has meet my grandpa would agree that she doesn't have one evil bone in her body. She's had such a hard life and bad things always happen to her but she always turns to God. What I admire is the fact that she treats everyone she meets with care and compassion because she truly believes that is what we are called to do. My grandma is the perfect example of what happens when we make moral choices keeping in mind that all people are made in the image of God. When we recognize this teaching we become filled with love and compassion like

He is granted free will and reason to not only determine what is right and wrong, but to choose it for himself. I feel by the end of the book, Parris has not made some moral development. In the beginning of the book as well as throughout the play, he and Proctor do not get along. They argue over the witch trials, they argue over religion, they argue over the color of the sky and cease to let the other “win”. At the end of the play, we do see a change in Parris with his attitude towards Proctor, but this is only to stay on the right side of the public opinion. The morning that Proctor is supposed to be hung in front of the town Parris goes to the Judge and tries to get Rebecca and others, as well as Proctor’s, end to be postponed.…

Bennett explores this question of thinking versus feelings in and how it relates to right and wrong. Trying to make a choice from moral judgment or sympathies can make it difficult to know the right on to make. The political arena for decision making amongst various groups, societies, nations and so on, have always been a complex and tedious process to ultimately come to a fair conclusion. One key factor within this process of finding possible solutions is taking into consideration a moral high ground so to speak, or in another words a moral principle perspective within the political decision making process. Providing a human moral based analysis of any issue at hand on a political bases simply further increases the complexities and variables of the negotiation process itself. One may argue that a moral perspective shouldn’t be necessary within the political negotiation process itself as it further increases the complexities of the issues at hand. This stance however is simply flawed in its own nature due to the simple fact that the political negotiation process cannot exist without the human element involved.…
