Making Chocolate Chip Cookies

Making chocolate chip cookies is a favorite pastime of many people. And the best part is that they are really simple to make. All of the ingredients are items that every kitchen just has waiting to be used. Start with collecting all the ingredients. These ingredients include granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter or margarine (preferably softened), vanilla extract, eggs, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and a package of semisweet chocolate chips. Locate the measuring cups and measuring spoons, and bring them to the table. Other tools that are needed to make the cookies is a large bowl, a Kitchenaids mixing bowl, and a cookie baking sheet. After gathering all the ingredients and tools, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. To start making the cookies, first, take the large bowl, a measuring cup, and the all-purpose flour. Measure out 2 and ¼ cup of the all-purpose flour, and pour it into the large bowl. Then take 1 tsp of the baking soda and add it into the same bowl with the flour, along with 1 tsp. of salt. Next, measure out ¾ cup of granulated sugar and ¾ cup of brown sugar, make sure it is packed into the measuring cup. Add both of these ingredients into the same large bowl and set aside. The baking sheet should remain ungreased. There will be 3 columns of cookie dough balls, each with 4 rows. The cookie dough balls should be about tablespoon sized. The oven should be preheated by now. Place one full cookie baking sheet that is full into the oven, preferably on the middle rack. Bake the cookies for about 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. The center will be soft. After the 9-11 minutes are up, take the cookie baking sheet out of the oven. Let cool for a few minutes.
