Making Binoculars To The Peripheral Vision Of Prey

Prey need peripheral vision to survive, they need it to be able to see predators so they won’t get eaten. Peripheral vision is a wide horizontal range of vision found on prey that ranges from 290-310 degrees, leaving them with a 50 degree blind spot, with horses as one of the only exceptions because they have a 350 degree horizontal range. but they do not have the depth perception and focus that predators might have, because of predators tunnel vision. You can tell if they are predators or prey by their eye sockets. If the animal has eye sockets on the side of it’s head, it is prey but predators like humans have eye sockets on the front of their head, leaving humans or most predators with a horizontal range of 120-130 degrees, and a 240 degree blind spot. …show more content…
We will use optic mirrors inside the binoculars to guide your vision to the side of your head. There will be two mirrors for each eye, one mirror directly in front of your eye but tilted, so it directs your vision to another mirror next to your eye that points your vision to the side of your head. The binoculars will be transparent so we have a more realistic range of vision instead of having tunnel vision on the side of your head, but we should be able to move our eyes so we can look forward like prey would be able to do. The only problem with the binoculars is that it will cause massive amounts of strain on our eyes because it’s not as natural as seeing
