Globalization of the telecommunication industry has revolutionized the current industry especially with the widespread of use of technology. These technological developments have further created new markets and systems for handling multi national corporations. Some of the key forms of these advanced technologies are computers, satellites, fiber optics, digital signals, and wireless communications. These rapidly changing technologies are also transforming the policies as well as regulations related to local, national, and global communications.
Major Restrictions of Transborder Data Flow

According to LeBlanc, Chifflet, and Mahey, (1999), one of the most important problem faced by “many organizations today is to find the most cost-effective configurations for their communication networks”(p. 188). Further, rapidly changing technological needs and demands of organizations create a competitive working environment. Additionally, each organization various and so does its tools used in networking, which leads to inconsistency and problems (Trebing & Estabrooks, 1995). Apart from technologies and networks being different, even the working atmosphere of each organization is unique, therefore these indifferences results in cultural barriers (Trebing & Estabrooks, 1995). Also, another major concern in dealing with global telecommunications is data security and privacy risks (LeBlanc et al., 1999).
