At that point, in time, my husband and I were currently serving in the Air Force, and had spent a considerable amount of time separated in support of military commitments. Next, Maj Tenace proclaimed, “If you are not pregnant in the next five months, come back to see me and I will send you to a fertility doctor.’’ Initially, visiting a fertility clinic was an inconceivable option due to my Christian faith. Upon entering the room, Dr. Whitman gave an introduction of her, asked more about our inability to conceive, and discussed the success rate of a myriad of fertility procedures executed in the medical facility. Additionally, my husband had a semen analysis completed to analyze his sperm count to rule out infertility on his behalf. Before our departure, I walked excitedly to the laboratory to give a blood specimen for an evaluation of hormone levels. Following the specimen I gave, a courteous receptionist scheduled us for all subsequent tests. According to Planned Parenthood, 2.7 million women and men annually visit a Planned Parenthood health center for information and services and defunding this organization would deny a majority of them access to reproductive health care. We can’t take away the useful services Planned Parenthood provides just because there are claims of illegal marketing of fetal body parts. Without prior background knowledge, it becomes easy for us to be manipulated in an argument. Logos is one of the trickiest forms of rhetoric used, because it employs reason and logic to persuade its audience.
