Major In Psychology

I chose to major in Psychology for a few reasons. The first reason being, when I was younger I would always watch a bunch of crime shows. These shows all consisted of people with many disorders and mental health issues that I became very interested in. Another reason is that I love helping people. I love helping people find what they are looking for and help them find an out from what ever they may be running away from. Last but not least; no matter what career I do find myself in after the next few years, Psychology can only help grow my knowledge even if I don’t become a psychologist. If you are ever considering majoring in Psychology, here are a few reasons as to why you should pursue this major. First, my experience at Mount Mercy University, has continuously grown my interest in this field. This major could easily help you achieve what you want in life. Research studies look great on resumes and would help a lot when it comes to finding a job. Employers would chose you over someone who hasn’t had any experience like that. Besides just finding a job, being involved in research studies will help improve your field experience, and improve smaller skills you have like working with a team and working in several different environments. Lastly, majoring in Psychology can overall help you greater understand why you are the way you are and why other people are the way they are. While studying Psychology you find how you aren’t the only person who has those emotions or thoughts even if you feel alone in them. Majoring in Psychology can help improve the way you react to others in what they do, by improving your communication skills. It is a good way to help improve peoples problem solving. By studying Psychology you can improve how you react to everything and everyone, it will help with just about everything you do in
