Marriage is defined; the legally recognized union of a man and woman as partners in a relationship. Even with this definition in place describing what marriage should be, does this means that the two people that are getting married have to be in love? Marriage comes with a sense of commitment, it comes with a vow stronger than any other made by two people pledging themselves to each other in all aspects for the rest of their lives. Everyone has their own view of the important characteristics of a successful marriage. There are six important characteristics that can be used as pillar to build a solid foundation to a great union. Commitment; divorce is not considered an option by two individuals who realize that marriages do take work sacrifice and loyalty on boths sides. . Communication; there should be a comprehensive openness and through understanding about the opinions and feelings of both partners in a committed relationship.
