Through reading papers about academic integrity and dishonesty, and participating in the class learned that maintaining academic integrity is important not only because it prevents us from suspension or “ADF (Academic Dishonesty F)” in transcripts but also helps us practice the work ethics that would be required in our future careers. Also, it was interesting that the standards of academic integrity in the United States are very strict compared to those in Asian countries. These were extremely important for me since they would help me to avoid unnecessary problems when adapting and developing my profession in America, and also build critical perspectives about the loose standards back in my country.
