Glorifying the Lord! That is the main objective in my life. Following, trusting and listening to our Lord, Jesus Christ, is how I will accomplish this amazing gift of grace and mercy that I have been given as an adopted daughter of the Lord. I wanted to stay calm, not look so excited, so I looked around, asked some silly questions, and then purchased it on the spot. Next, I needed to find a job. Being an Operating Room Nurse, jobs are usually very easy to find, but no one was responding to my search. I was a little nervous because I only had 30 days to present an job offer in order to keep my new home. I searched the internet every night frantically trying to cover all positions that I was qualified for. But I hadn’t told anyone my plans, just in case everything fell apart. What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

At my most vulnerable, I was having to fill the role of teacher and leader, teaching people how to walk with others through a difficult situation. I learned how important it is to be authentic. I had to let them be part of the grieving and healing process, showing weakness, strength, and reliance on God. My prayer is that God used this journey as an example for others, that they would see our source of strength and hope, that life could again be filled with joy, and most importantly that they would see Jesus through…
