The main issue relating to the Reconstruction era that divided the Republicans towards the end of the Civil War. This showed the discipline towards the states that were rebelling as well as the length. Abraham Lincoln and the other leaders thought this: the sooner the nation reunited, then the faster it could be to inaugurate the healing procedure. However, the Radical Republicans did believe that the South was faulted for the war. If I was a member of the Congress, I would've supported the Democrats because, the Southern states were at risk for the destruction. I'd reason the same as the democrats did.
