Abstract:
It is true that some of the inspiring and motivating lessons for humanity lie in the past. This Analytical paper of study is tribute to great leader of great abilities, charisma and achievement i.e. Mahatma Gandhi. History tells the story of their greatness and their success .Mahatma Gandhi fit the meaning of transformational leader in very clear way. Business management and managers must learn and appreciate the lives and achievement of this great man. This paper starts with introduction of the meaning of transformational leadership and it will compare the trait and features of this leadership with some the current business leaders.

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Transformational leadership brings abilities which encourage leader to recognize the requirement of change, to generate the vision to move towards the change and attend the change successfully.
Fred Luthans stated the qualities of transformational leaders as below: 1

1. Charisma: Generate vision and mission, reinforce pride, and earn respect and trust.
2. Inspiration: Bring high expectations, tools to focus and goal oriented efforts, focused on important purposes in simple way.
3. Intellectual stimulation: Encourages intelligence and skill to solve problem.
4. Individual Consideration: treat each and every employee equally in all respect, reinforce advice.

Thus it is clear that transformational leader are inspiring and very innovative individuals who can successfully carry the responsibility of follower on their shoulder making long term contribution and achieve excellent

Later he went to South Africa. He first experienced the discrimination and suppression by British power in South Africa. Gandhi struggled against the ruthless British power in South Africa through Satyagraha & Ahimsa.He was important leader to raise the voice for the cause of Indians in South Africa. Later become source of inspiration for African which created base for their clichés to fight against suppression and evils.
Gandhi came back to India in 1916.He emerged as important leader soon during national movement. Indian National congress was not united and its movement was not focused and lacking mass support .it was lacking leadership and the leader was never aimed at complete independence.
Gandhi analyzed the situation properly and identify that Indian national movement has to be germinate from ground reality and with common man. he also visualize that India can fight for independent by non-violent means such as satyagraha ,non-cooperation ,civil disobedience, peaceful protest. He uses language and ground reality of masses. His success at Champaran brought the huge impact on national leadership .Gandhi vision of mass support and effort to bring mass in movement framed the congress as representative of masses. Gandhi leadership influences great congress leaders and common people alike. He raised the voice of common man against Tortures and injustice of Britishers such as Rowlett act, JalinwalahBagh massacre.
