Later he went to South Africa. He first experienced the discrimination and suppression by British power in South Africa. Gandhi struggled against the ruthless British power in South Africa through Satyagraha & Ahimsa.He was important leader to raise the voice for the cause of Indians in South Africa. Later become source of inspiration for African which created base for their clichés to fight against suppression and evils.
Gandhi came back to India in 1916.He emerged as important leader soon during national movement. Indian National congress was not united and its movement was not focused and lacking mass support .it was lacking leadership and the leader was never aimed at complete independence.
Gandhi analyzed the situation properly and identify that Indian national movement has to be germinate from ground reality and with common man. he also visualize that India can fight for independent by non-violent means such as satyagraha ,non-cooperation ,civil disobedience, peaceful protest. He uses language and ground reality of masses. His success at Champaran brought the huge impact on national leadership .Gandhi vision of mass support and effort to bring mass in movement framed the congress as representative of masses. Gandhi leadership influences great congress leaders and common people alike. He raised the voice of common man against Tortures and injustice of Britishers such as Rowlett act, JalinwalahBagh massacre.
