The foundations of BSN programs have been continuing to emphasize research and delivering optimal patient outcomes. There have been multiple initiatives to improve patient outcomes through the use of Magnet Recognition process; these include increasing the number of BSN nurses and patient focused initiatives. The components of Magnet include transformational leadership, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, new knowledge, innovation and improvement, and empirical quality.
