Maggie had stood in the middle of a forest. It was dark and foggy, though not so much as that she couldn 't see, it just made her feel like she was in a dream. There was an old house that sat in the middle of a swamp. She had no idea where she was or why she was here. She wasn’t dreaming, was she? This felt much too real to be a dream, but there was so much about the whole situation that was unexplained. She stepped forward and felt a breeze hit her shoulder, shivering, she looked around again. This was how she decided that there was no way that this could have been a dream, there was no way that it wasn’t. The whole place had felt much too real. It seemed as if the house had came before the swamp and not the other way around, as it sat in the middle, with no clear path to it. There was at least a dozen crows flying around it, squawking loudly. The house looked broken and very unstable. Most of the windows had boards over them, with others empty. Walking back the other way, she could see that at the back of the house, the roof was falling out and parts of the siding were hanging out. Though the strangest feature out of them all was that there was a single light on, in what was most likely an attic in the house. This may not have been so strange if there had been some kind of path leading to the house, but no such thing existed. Eventually recognizing it as the forest that she used to walk in when she was younger, which was about a mile 's walk from her uncle’s house. Though there were quite a few noticeable differences, the layout was fundamentally the same. Before it had been such a bright place that she was able to visit, to have fun with her brother and relax. The clean, fresh water was now replaced with a dirty, murky looking version. Though it was bizarre, that when looking into the water she could see a perfect reflection of herself like looking into a mirror, she couldn’t see through it, but there was a clear reflection. The constant fog being enough to add an extra layer of difference to this place. Even on some of the most dreary days, the site had never looked this bad. Though she still couldn’t shake the constant questioning in her mind as to why there was a random house here. She knew that there had had to be something around to reach
