Roller Coaster with Auggie’s emotions? Great friends? Sure, you could argue that. But you could also argue that along the way, people have said things about him and to him that is so cruel, it will stick with him forever. He will not forget the looks people gave him, and the terror of even touching him. There are some words that people have said that there is no fix to. Every negative thought that was said to him or directed towards him, he remembers, thoroughly, and how he felt.

I mean were you in a fire or something.” -- What would you do if someone said this to you? You get to choose how you react to things, but you don’t get to choose what you hear. If the statement bothers you, you don’t have to react to it to it right then. But I’m sure that you will think about the statement that is directed towards you. You will think about it over and over again.

“Can you imagine how he felt to see you running away from him Jamie, screaming?” This, right here is why Auggie shouldn’t go to school. He will never ever forget these things. If people were running away from you, I’m sure that you would feel as if you were different. You would not just be a usual person if people ran away from you-- you would feel different, way different. Some might argue against the previous claim because they may think that he has made many great friends, or he has been a great friend to people. “I feel like I can tell August anything, he’s such a good friend.” Yes you could argue that, but in comparison, you getting made fun of, and your self esteem is lowered, should be more valued than if he is a good friend to
