On the first date, Maggie wore her nicest black dress and felt very excited and amazed by where they went and everything around her. She thinks of her date as so elegant and high class, even though the opposite proved true. Pete acted cocky and dressed nicely, and when Maggie rejected his kiss at the end of the night, he got very frustrated. His behavior made him appear to only like the girl for her body. The boy’s behavior remained the same on the second date and he strutted around the venue and acted very obnoxious. He seemed proud of Maggie and showed her off to the other men in the room. Maggie, however, acted very timid and very dependent on her date, much different than the previous one. By the third date, Maggie acted even more reliant on Pete than before and she only talked to him until him and Nell, the woman of natural beauty, left the site. She seems distraught and unhappy, while Pete still acts cocky, arrogant and talkative towards Nell, but he ignores Maggie. Throughout the three dates, the characters’ behavior can show how their relationship gradually broke
