Paul may have not made the best decisions throughout the book, but was that his fault, or could the blame be split on his peers? Mrs.Fisher, Mr.Fisher, and Erik fisher are the most likely candidates, but could there be more?
Erik is obvious, getting Arthur to “handle the light work” and tormenting Paul, protected by the football dream. Mr. and Mrs.Fisher are negligent parents, letting Erik get away with his atrocities under the aforementioned football dream. But the question remains, could there be others on the chopping block? One example could be the staff of Lake Windsor Middle and Lake Windsor High, for niglecting the needs of Paul, and turning somewhat of a blind eye on Erik.
