Many individuals assume their lives are normal and it’s the correct; But according, to Emily Dickinson they are the insane ones. The table have been flipped, with that being said those who society once called mad are now sane and those who consider themselves sane are actually the ones who are insane. Given that, in Alice Walker Essay Mama voiced her opinion as to why Dee can’t have the quilts. After several, occasion of allowing Dee to talk down on her and Maggie, Mama finally stood her ground and responded to Dee in a way she didn’t expect. Mama “Snatched the quilts from out of Miss Wangero’s hands and dumped them into Maggie’s lap” (Walker 385).
