Overcoming her alternate personality, referred to as her “sister,” might be Madison’s only chance to save herself from a lifetime of mental instability. She’s been in the clinic for seven months, and her pessimistic attitude has made it even more difficult to defeat her illness. With the support of an old teacher, Mrs. Reynolds, Madison learns how to appreciate herself and her life. Soon after however, she halfway shifts into her other personality and is able to conquer her “sister’s” control over her.
